The Mission of the Providential Care Ministries is to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and provide the required tools for success.
The Providential Care Food Pantry has serviced tens of thousands of families since 2011. We partner with Forgotten Harvest for the food and rely on generous funding from individuals, businesses, corporate sponsorships, religious organizations, participating agencies, and government grants.
Food is distributed every Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
For more than 20 years, New Providence Baptist Church has offered a Free Clothing and Food Giveaway for the metropolitan Detroit area. We are blessed to have received donations from individual members, community members, local businesses, corporations, retail stores, community agencies, and other churches.
Twice during each year, we transform our banquet hall into a free shopping experience mirroring what you would see in a full-service department store. Clothing items organized and identified from Newborns and Infants, to Adult Men and Women, Shoes, Purses, Coats, and Housewares. In addition to the clothing, we partner with the Food Pantry to distribute more than 100,000 pounds of food at each event.
Continue to visit our website to join the mailing list and receive notifications about our new giveaway. Check out the video below which highlights our Annual Food and Clothing Drive from July of this year.
